The Problem
Dental quality in the US is decreasing year after year. To stifle this I propose a method of gamification that would instill good brushing habits in children at a young age.
But how?
One word: Incentive.
Toddlers don’t understand many concepts so early in life, but one that comes built-in with humans is an understanding of Competition.
Wireframes
This iteration of the calendar ended up being incredibly unclear. Testing showed that users really don’t care about specifically when their kids brushed- only who won on each day.
4/5 users said that the pop-up screen was too low on the visual plane. And the orange was too intense for the established color palette.
The pass system actually ended up being effective. 5/5 users were able to follow the route and understood that the color coordination denoted who had made it to that point in the path.
